Approach to Research
At ATK, we value curiosity and an open mind, develop our own highly researched dance history modules, building customised resource material and curriculums. We conduct our own dance history workshops and talks, as well as work with various universities and performing arts institutes, both online and offline.


Kathak in Bombay Cinema
Siddhi’s research specialisation is Kathak in Bombay Cinema : the contribution of courtesans and Kathak dancers from the 1930s, supported by India Foundation for the Arts.
The research is one of the first in the Kathak community done by a practitioner-researcher, to study both the dance Kathak and the ecosystem of Kathak dancers in Bombay Cinema.
Her other interests include Women in Kathak, History of Kathak, 20th century dance revival, 21st century popular culture and Kathak, among others.
